The Department of Oral Biology is a cornerstone of academic and research excellence, dedicated to the study of the structure, development, and function of oral and maxillofacial tissues. It acts as a foundational bridge between the basic sciences and clinical dental practice, providing essential knowledge on the biological mechanisms underlying oral health and disease.

The department is pivotal in equipping undergraduate dental students with a comprehensive understanding of oral tissues at cellular and molecular levels. This includes exploring the dynamic processes of growth, development, and repair in oral structures, as well as understanding the interaction of oral tissues with systemic health.

Our department boasts a state-of-the-art Oral Biology Laboratory, featuring advanced equipment such as compound microscopes, imaging systems, and digital learning tools to facilitate interactive learning and innovative research. Students receive hands-on training in histological analysis, molecular techniques, and tissue studies, fostering a strong foundation in oral biology and biomaterials.

The faculty consists of highly qualified and experienced educators and researchers dedicated to academic excellence and innovation. By integrating theoretical knowledge with laboratory skills and research-oriented approaches, the Department of Oral Biology aims to cultivate skilled dental professionals and researchers, proficient in advancing oral healthcare through evidence-based practice.
