WORLD HEART DAY 2022
World Heart Day is celebrated on 29th September every year. This year Dr. Mariam Razzaq from the Department of Community Medicine, FUSH, delivered an awareness message on FUI TV with the aim to drive action to educate people that by controlling risk factors such as tobacco use, unhealthy diet and physical inactivity we can prevent premature deaths caused by heart diseases. Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide and simple measure like salt and sugar reduction in diets, regular exercise or physical activity, good quality sleep and early screening above 30 years are important measures that anyone can adopt for prevention of heart diseases.
