Workshop–1 titled “From Questionnaire to Dataset: Google Form Creation & Import to SPSS”, held on Friday, 16 January 2026 from 0900 AM to 1200 PM  at the Department of Community Medicine. The workshop was organized with the objective of enhancing the capacity of faculty and staff in digital data collection and data management for research purposes.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Tilawat Khan (Data Administrator) and Mr. Muhammad Mehmood Zeehsan (CMS/LMS Coordinator), and was attended by all faculty members, staff of the Department of Community Medicine and CBRC member. The training comprehensively covered the complete workflow of transforming a questionnaire into an analyzable dataset, including the design of structured questionnaires using Google Forms, best practices for question formatting, data validation, exporting responses, importing datasets into SPSS, and an introduction to variable labeling and basic data cleaning. Hands-on demonstrations were conducted throughout the session to ensure practical understanding and skill development.

By the end of the workshop, participants were able to independently create research-ready Google Forms, efficiently export and import datasets into SPSS, and appreciate the importance of clean and well-structured data for accurate analysis. The workshop was highly interactive and informative, successfully achieving its learning objectives. The trainers were appreciated for their clear explanations and practical approach, and the activity significantly contributed to strengthening research competencies within the department.
