Pre-Marital Counseling Symposium
Dr. Shahid Nawaz, Population Welfare Project Director, attended the Pre-Marital Counseling Symposium as chief guest at FUSH on March 14, 2024. Organized by the Community Medicine Department, the event centered on pre-marital counseling. The session began with a recitation of the Holy Quran led by Dr. Rukhsana Javed, WMO In-charge at FHC Military Hospital. Dr. Saima Rasheed, Deputy Technical Officer from the District Population Welfare Office, stressed the importance of pre-marital counseling. Dr. Azra Saeed, from Obs/Gynae , discussed Contraception and Family Planning in Critical Medical Conditions. Brig. Prof. Naila Azam (Retd), HOD Community Medicine, closed the session, highlighting the crucial role of healthcare professionals in promoting effective family planning and contraceptive advice, as contraceptives are lifesaving for the unmet need.
