The FUSH consists of Foundation University Medical College (FUMC), Foundation University College of Dentistry (FUCD), Foundation University College of Physical Therapy (FUCP), Foundation University College of Nursing (FUCN) the University Secretariat and Fauji Foundation Hospital (FFH) (Teaching Hospital of FUMC).
Foundation University Medical College (FUMC)
The Foundation University Medical College (FUMC) was established in the year 2000. The intake of the College is 150 students per year. FUMC is also recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) for FCPS Part II training. The College is housed in a modern complex of its own, with hostels for boys and girls located within the same premises. The College is listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED) and is a member of International Association of Medical Regulatory Authority (IAMRA). The College has also been included in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDMS) by WHO, making its students eligible to appear in the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and United Kingdom Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB). Conventional modalities of teaching in the form of lectures, seminars, classroom laboratory teaching has been replaced at FUMC by integrated modular systems like PBL (Problem Based Learning) which is more patient oriented and evidence based. The College is also regularly publishing a multi-disciplinary Journal of Bio-medical Sciences.
Foundation University College of Dentistry (FUCD)
Foundation University College of Dentistry & Hospital (FUCD&H) was established as a dental hospital in Jan 2014. Whereas the undergraduate teaching started in Jan 2016. FUCD&H in state of art tertiary care teaching Hospital in the field of Dentistry, located besides Fauji Foundation Hospital and Foundation University Medical College, at the serene proximity of DHA Phase I Islamabad. We feel humbled and privileged to declare that we provide best quality dental education to our undergraduate and postgraduate students covering all aspects of patient care and management.
For educational purpose we have fully equipped and functional phantom head labs, skill lab, prosthetic and ceramic labs to nurture our students with international standards of training . We have special interest in research & methodology to keep up with emerging advancements in the science of dental materials and modern techniques.
The highly qualified and dedicated faculty has developed and implemented an integrated, problem-based curriculum which endeavors to take our students to the pinnacle of academic and professional excellence. Our students are likely to have an exposure to diverse conditions faced by a population of varied socio-economic backgrounds.

We aim to expand and initiate MSc, MPhil , PhD, FCPS, and MDS in all specialties of dentistry to contribute and serve in providing quality subject specialist in each branch of dentistry and will be contributing to meet the emerging shortage of specialists and teaching faculty in the country.

Foundation University College of Physical Therapy (FUCP)
Foundation University College of Physical Therapy (FUCP) was established in 2014. In a very short span of time, FUCP has turned out to be a prominent place in the twin cities. It has set its benchmark for quality education and developed innovative solutions to train the sharpest minds in order to deal with health challenges, using evidence based practice. It accommodates an astounding interface between health care provision, and medical and rehabilitation expertise. FUCP is a constituent institute of Foundation University Islamabad. Clinical Training is provided in the affiliated hospital of FUCP i.e., Fauji Foundation Hospital Rawalpindi which has an exceptional physical rehabilitation setup equipped with latest equipments to train students to combat clinical challenges in daily life.
Foundation University Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences has attained an exceptional position because of its highly professional, healthy and encouraging environment for training DPT students, so that they become highly skilled and proficient Physical Therapy Practitioners of 21st century.
Students are enrolled in FUCP strictly on merit basis. FUCP has a highly experienced and qualified team of professionals from all over the country. As research section is another strong aspect of FUCP in the field of Physical Rehabilitation, FUCP not only appreciates and facilitates it but also provides funds for innovative research projects in the widest interest of community. Rehabilitation journals and other resource materials related to physical rehabilitation are provided to the students via library to make them aware of the latest trends and practices in Physical rehabilitation. Medical and rehabilitation camps are also arranged on regular basis to encourage students’ involvement in social work and enhance their confidence.
FUCP has a purpose-built campus with spacious lecture halls, amphitheatres, and multidisciplinary laboratories with facilities as par with international standards. FUCP is also equipped with the latest gadgets like Virtual Reality and Dynamic Posturography.
After graduation, students can pursue their studies in physical therapy sub-specialties such as Musculoskeletal, Orthopedics, Neurological, Cardiopulmonary, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Sports Physical Therapy & Oncology rehabilitation. FUCP is the first Rehabilitation Institute in Pakistan which took an initiative to offer paid house job to all graduates at the completion of their 5-year degree program. FUCP is also planning to initiate Masters Program to first graduating batch of DPT to further extend their academics. As the physical therapy profession has become highly demanding and attractive in society, it has lead to increasing and attractive job opportunities in government/private sectors as well as in clinical and academic settings.
Foundation University College of Nursing (FUCN)
FUCN is a constituent college of Foundation University. It recognized by Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) to offer BS Nursing (4 years) & Post RN BS Nursing (2 years) degree programs, 1 Year Diploma Midwifery and 1 year Post basic specialty in Peri Operative and OT. FUCN is also affiliated with Nursing Examination Board Punjab.
FUCN have contemporary teaching and learning facilities, class rooms with modern teaching equipment, Library, computer lab with internet facility and HEC data access, nursing skills lab with high tech equipment. For clinical learning we are affiliated with tertiary care, Fauji Foundation Teaching Hospital. In addition to prepare skill mixed we have launched 1 year certificate courses of Nursing Assistant & Dental Surgical Assistant in April 2019.

Fauji Foundation Hospital (FFH)
The Fauji Foundation Hospital, Rawalpindi (A Teaching Hospital of FUMC) with the capacity of 850 beds is the flagship of Fauji Foundation Welfare Health Projects with an annual budget of about Rs. 2.4 billion. The FF Hospital, Rawalpindi is equipped with state of the art facilities and can be compared favourably with any other modern hospital of international repute.
