INFANT AND YOUNG CHILD GROWTH MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP
Department of Community Medicine FUMC organized a workshop on 28th June 22, from 1030hrs to 1330hrs, on infant and young child feeding practices and growth monitoring.
It was conducted in two main sessions with an introduction by Dr. Asma Anjum followed by session I by Prof Dr. Nosheen Zaidi on Infant and young child feeding highlighting the importance of feeding and nutrition in young children. The second session was conducted by Assoc Prof Dr. Tahira Amjad on growth monitoring. She highlighted the importance of growth charts and their uses as a physician. These sessions took place in lecture hall 4.
In addition, faculty guided 4th year students for group activities in community medicine museum and they presented them in the form of role-plays and demonstrations. PGTs from the gynecology and pediatrics department FFH also participated in the workshop. A total of 38 students and 7 PGTs attended the workshop.
