Community medicine department hosted a scholarly talk on topic titled "Pakistan COVID-19 Control: Lessons Learned for the Next Pandemic" by Dr. Rana Jawad Asghar, CEO of Global Health Strategists & Implementers (GHSI). The event aimed to dissect Pakistan's pandemic response, guided by lessons for future crises. Chief guest Gen. Syed Tasawar Hussain, Associate Dean (CS) and experts like Dr. Kiran Farooq, Professor and Head of Radiology, and Dr. Azra Saeed Awan, Professor and Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Fauji Foundation, shared insights, experiences and adaptations in healthcare delivery services during pandemic. The talk was followed by an interactive question answer session from the audience especially medical students and residents.
The lecture underscored collaborative efforts, advanced medical imaging, and healthcare adaptability as pivotal lessons learned for pandemic management. This event served as an invaluable knowledge repository for future global health crises.
