FUI TV ACTIVITY 14 AUGUST SPECIAL
The Department of Community Medicine organized a special broadcast for FUI web TV on 14th August,2022 regarding Disaster Management upgradation keeping in view the current situation of our country Pakistan.
Brig. Prof Naila Azam HOD Community medicine FUSH was the Guest speaker. The interview was hosted by Dr.Asma Anjum, FCPS II resident Department Of Community Medicine. Professor Naila Azam briefly explained the current climate change, and how is this change becoming the reason for floods and various other types of disasters in our national context.
The discussion also included types of floods, and why Pakistan gets badly affected by floods. In reply to a question, she emphasized on the dire need for a disaster management upgradation program in our country. She also highlighted how can we build the capacity and reduce the vulnerability against the disaster by formulating and implementing robust mitigation plan.
