There are numerous under graduate programs and few master programs in Neurological Science and Practice being offered in Pakistan, but this MSPT-NPT program is a specialized program in Neurological Sciences, encompassing both basic concepts, clinical knowledge, assessment and conservative management approaches according to international standards. 

Goal of the Program:

This course will be the specialized program encompassing latest evidence based management techniques and knowledge regarding different Neurological Diseases, Neurological diagnostic tools and approaches, quantitative and qualitative neurological assessment, physical modalities and electrotherapy, latest evidence based techniques, to enable the graduates become specialized practitioners to deal with a multitude of problems involving the neurological system which is a dire need in the country. 

Objectives of the Program:

To provide specialized physical therapy care.

To serve as responsible members in the professional community and are willing and able to assume leadership roles in the communities they serve

Function as a productive member of a team engaged in health care, research & education. 

To identify researchable problems, advocate and participate in research, and incorporate research findings into clinical practice.

To understand and place in context the social, economic and cultural issues of practice and effectively advocate for changes in policy

To adopt only evidence based assessment and management techniques.

Admission Requirements

Master of Science in Physical Therapy

Specialisation: Neurological Physical Therapy

Admission in Foundation University College of Physical Therapy (FUCP) is open to all students irrespective of sex, religion, color, creed, class and domicile who are academically qualified for admission to the courses of study offered by the college.

The admission is offered strictly on the basis of merit determined by the university as per the admission criteria.

Online Application

The candidate who applies online must submit the printed application form along with a processing fee challan of Rs. 2000/- and required documents as per the checklist. 

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT-5 years/BSPT (4 years) from any HEC recognized University or equivalent qualification.

University Entrance Test.

Relevant field experience will be preferred

Incomplete/late applications will not be considered

The decision of the Admission Committee is irrevocable and final. The authorities are not bound to explain the reasons for their decisions to the applicants, their parents, or guardian.

Determining the Merit

The following weightage will be awarded for the calculation of merit for admission in FUCP:-

Entry Test Details 

The Entry Test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based containing 50 MCQs of a Total of 50 Marks. There will be no Negative Marking and applicants will be given a time period of 1 hour to answer 50 MCQs. Following are the Detailed Division of

Physical Therapy:  60%

Research & Biostatistics:  30%

English & General Knowledge: 10%
