The Institution places a strong emphasis on professional accreditations. So many subjects have been designed to meet the needs of professional organizations and industry. Nearly all subjects have practical components, so one will have plenty of opportunities to gain hands on experience in real life situations through case studies or practical work in our state-of-the art facilities.
Programs offered at the Foundation University Islamabad Campus mostly developed on modern lines so as to fulfill the future requirements of the market and industry. Books, Journals and Periodicals at the college have been selected keeping in view the needs of the doctors and researchers. Online resources have been provided in the library in collaboration with HEC for latest information. The campus has also provided the students with high performance computers at the Information Tech Center, thus facilitating them to gain Tech knowledge.
Extra/Co-curricular activities are encouraged at the campus for the grooming of students. The medical college has number of societies like Music Society, Art and Dramatic, Debating, Sports, Library. Apart from these societies, Educational Trips/tours are planned. Active participation of class Representatives and girl representatives is encouraged in forming various teams/ societies.
Hostel Accommodation
The FUSH campus offers comfortable and secure hostel accommodation for both boys and girls, providing a supportive residential environment for students coming from abroad and from different parts of the country. Hostel allocation is made on a first-come, first-served basis and is managed by an experienced and competent administration dedicated to student welfare. The hostel management makes continuous efforts to ensure a peaceful, disciplined, and academically focused atmosphere that promotes both personal well-being and academic success.
All essential facilities are conveniently available within the vicinity of the respective hostels to meet students’ daily needs. These include ATM services, PCO facilities, a tuck shop, photocopying services, and laundry facilities, ensuring comfort and ease for boarders. The hostels are provided with round-the-clock security through trained security personnel, fenced boundary walls, and an elaborate CCTV surveillance system to ensure the safety of residents at all times. In addition, dedicated janitorial staff maintain a hygienic and clean living environment.
The girls’ hostel has been recently renovated to provide a high-quality living standard, offering enhanced comfort, safety, and modern facilities for female students, making campus life at FUSH both secure and enjoyable.
Medical Labs
The FUSH offers an outstanding practical learning environment through its fully equipped, state-of-the-art laboratories designed to support excellence in medical education and research. Specialized laboratories for Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Forensic Medicine provide students with hands-on training aligned with modern medical standards. To further enhance learning, the departments of Anatomy, Forensic Medicine, Pathology, and Pharmacology maintain their own well-organized museums, allowing students to observe specimens, models, and educational resources that strengthen theoretical concepts. The Anatomy Department is equipped with a modern dissection hall, enabling students to gain essential experience in human anatomy through supervised practical sessions. In addition, students benefit from exposure to real clinical diagnostics through the Clinical Pathology Laboratory located at Fauji Foundation Hospital. Gym Facilities at Hostels
To promote a healthy and active lifestyle, the university provides well-equipped gym facilities within both boys’ and girls’ hostels. Health Cover
Medical care for students is facilitated through arrangements with Fauji Foundation Hospital (FFH), Rawalpindi, to ensure timely and organized healthcare services. Outdoor medical treatment is provided under the established agreement with FFH, while indoor treatment is available on an actual cost basis. Medicines are issued strictly against authorized prescriptions.
Procedure for Availing Medical Facility:
Students seeking medical attention must first inform their Senior Class Teacher.
They are required to report to the Student Affairs Office to obtain a Sick Report Slip.
The Sick Report Book serves as the official authorization for treatment at FFH.
Student Affairs maintains a dedicated register to record students reporting illness.
Students then report to the designated Staff Surgeon (Male/Female) at FFH.
Reporting and Attendance Guidelines:
Sick reporting timings are from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. daily, except in emergency cases.
Upon return from FFH, students must inform their Senior Class Teacher regarding their medical disposal (e.g., rest) to avoid being marked absent.
Billing and Medicines:
Students are treated as Civilian Non-Entitled (CNE) patients at FFH.
Prescription slips are issued accordingly, and medicines are dispensed through the Retail Issue Store (RIS).
Medical bills are forwarded by FFH to FUSH administration, processed by the Accounts Branch, and charged to students in their annual dues after verification.
Auditorium
The College features a modern, state-of-the-art auditorium designed to meet high standards of comfort and functionality. It is equipped with a centralized heating and cooling system and can comfortably accommodate up to 600 people. The auditorium offers excellent acoustics along with advanced audio and video facilities, ensuring a high-quality experience for all types of events. This distinctive venue is one of the finest facilities available in the city and ranks among the limited number of purpose-built auditoriums in the country. It is ideally suited for hosting academic, co-curricular, cultural, and social activities.

Computer Labs
The IT & MIS Department of the Foundation University School of Health Sciences (FUSH) has developed three modern computer laboratories across the campus to support academic and professional activities. These labs are equipped with the latest computer systems and up-to-date technology to meet the evolving needs of students and faculty. The computer labs are primarily used for scheduled academic sessions, particularly for medical students, and also serve as important venues for workshops, seminars, and various academic conferences held on campus.
