Carcinoma Cervix/ HPV Vaccine Awareness

A Carcinoma Cervix/ HPV Vaccine Awareness Walk was organized by the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Fauji Foundation Hospital Rawalpindi on 31st January 2026, under the leadership of Prof. Azra Saeed Awan and Prof. Zartaj Hayat. Doctors, postgraduate trainees, students, and hospital staff actively participated in the event.
The objective of the walk was to raise awareness about prevention, early detection, and timely management of cervical cancer, emphasizing the importance of regular Pap smear screening and HPV vaccination. During the activity, participants visited different OPDs, hospital departments, dental and rehab institutes to disseminate information and educate patients and attendants regarding cervical cancer risk factors and preventive measures.

The awareness activity concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony followed by refreshments, reinforcing the department’s commitment to promoting women’s health and community awareness.
