Applying to MBBS/BDS
150 students for MBBS and 50 students for BDS are admitted per year. Admission in FUMC and FUCD are open to all students irrespective of gender, religion, colour, creed, class and domicile who are academically qualified for admission to the courses of study offered by the college. The admission is offered strictly on the basis of merit determined by the Admitting University as per the admission criteria set by the PM&DC.
Applications
Candidates will apply Online with Admitting University i.e, NUMS after the appearance of advertisement in the national press.
FOREIGN SEATS:
- Any candidate who holds a permanent foreign nationality or is an overseas Pakistani, Green card Holder, Iqama holder, Maple card holder can apply for admission on foreign seat.
- Candidate must have studied and passed HSSC / 12th grade examination or equivalent from inside or outside Pakistan and possess a certificate from the institution last attended to this effect.
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks in HSSC (Pre-Medical) / 12th grade or equivalent (Equivalence certificate issued by IBCC for A-Level/12th Grade) having minimum twelve years of education with mandatory subjects of Chemistry and Biology and the rest as optional subjects.
- Passing NUMS MDCAT - 2025 (Held on Sunday 28th September 2025) with minimum 55% marks for admission in MBBS Program and 50% marks for BDS Program OR MCAT (USA) or UCAT (UK) with 50% marks in the subjects as prescribed in PM&DC Admissions Regulations 3©.

Eligibility Criteria & Merit Calculation for MBBS/BDS
Eligibility Criteria, Merit Calculation have been formulated in the light of Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Regulations (amended) 2021 for Admission in NUMS Public/Private Medical/Dental Colleges
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Pakistani citizens (Including AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan) can apply for admission in all above mentioned colleges on open merit seats.
- Passing NUMS MDCAT - 2025 (Held on Sunday, 28th September 2025) is mandatory. Pass percentage of NUMS MDCAT is 55% for admission in MBBS Program and 50% for BDS Program.
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks in FSc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent (Equivalence certificate issued by IBCC for A-Level/12th Grade) having minimum twelve years of education in atleast three subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics.

Merit calculation will be carried out as per weightage formula mentioned above at para 2a
Merit list will be generated and scrutiny of the educational documents, verification of NUMS MDCAT marks conducted by PM&DC and integration of marks of Hifz e Quran Test will be carried out of finally admitted candidates of each college
After completion of admission process, final merit list of each Private College will be generated and sent to the college accordingly.
College will offer the admission to the candidates according to their merit position and it will be monitored by NUMS for maintaining transparency.

Prerequisites for Pakistani Candidates:-
F.Sc (Pre-Medical Group/A Level/Equivalent) securing at least 60% (unadjusted) marks.

- 8 x candidates to be admitted in expatriate/foreigner category
Who can Apply:
- Foreigners and Pakistanis having dual nationality / resident status of a foreign country.
- Pakistani students who studies abroad for and have passed pre-medical F.Sc / HSSC/Intermediate with minimum 60% marks.
Eligibility for admission on foreign /expatriate seats is as follow:-
- Foreigners and Pakistani National who have passed examination equivalent to F.Sc from a foreign university/examination body / education system with three science subjects out of which Biology and Chemistry are essential subjects with 60% marks in aggregate as certified by IBCC, Islamabad.
- IBCC equivalence certificate (Photocopy) must be attached with the application form. In case if the equivalence certification is not submitted before the commencement of the classes, the admission of the student/applicant will be considered cancelled.

Statement of Purpose: As part of the application for admission in PhD Physical Therapy Program, applicants are required to submit a statement of purpose, which shall form an integral part of the application. The admissions committee shall use the information provided by the candidate to ascertain the preparedness and interest of the candidate in pursuing doctoral studies in Physical Therapy, and whether the department has the requisite resources to train and supervise the doctoral candidate in the subspecialty he or she is interested in.
A statement of purpose should also contain the following:

b. Clear articulation of the current understanding of the intended field and ideas for potential research
c. Explanation of the intended impact of the proposed research
d. The prospective candidates shall demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for the area of research
